Program Description: Entrepreneurs dream, and their dreams drive the economic engine of the world. Are you a dreamer? Do you dream of freedom, wealth, or of changing the world? Then the Master of Entrepreneurship is the program for you. In the fall of 2003, Western Carolina University boldly extended its dream series to encompass graduate education, offering the first M.E. in the University of North Carolina System and the United States, and one of only six in the world at this time.

Our faculty is made up of proven entrepreneurs: people who have made a payroll; people who have known victory and defeat and dreamed their own dreams; people who know how to make dreams become real; and people who can teach you how to make your dreams become real.

Can you teach entrepreneurship? Of course you can. Like everything else in life, you just need teachers who have actually done what they are showing you how to do, and who are masters at what they are teaching.

The program director is Dr. Frank Lockwood.  Dr. Lockwood has founded more then a dozen companies and raised more then $100 million in venture capital. This is a pattern Western intends to continue. In this program, your teachers will be entrepreneurs.

Required Standardized Test: GMAT

Minimum Admissions Requirements: Baccalaureate from an accredited university and 400 on the GMAT.

Prerequisites: There will be some accounting prerequisites for some of the courses but we will able to provide these courses if you do not have them
