The Path encourages Honors students to seek out and connect activities to their post-graduation plans—to make the most of all the educational opportunities WCU offers.
The Path, although not always including everything below or in the same order, generally works this way:
Students …
- Join the Honors community (first-year students take the Honors Forum)
- Complete Honors Courses or Honors Contracts
- Do service learning work related to their choice of major(s)
- Study abroad via International Programs to gain a global perspective
- Present undergraduate research, often funded by The Honors College
- Consider distinguished post-graduate fellowships and scholarships
- Work in regional, national, or international internships via Career Services
- Complete the requirements for The Honors College Diploma
The Honors Path is a concept based on the university’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), which aims to help students learn how to pull together the variety of university opportunities and experiences into a plan.
