Mountain Dulcimer Week Schedule
Dates:   Sunday, June 22 through Friday, June 27, 2008.
The following may be subject to some changes.

Arrive on Sunday for the following:
2-5 p.m.     Check-in and Welcome Packet pick-up, Norton Residence Hall
6:00-7:00   Get-Acquainted Banquet in Hinds University Center (non-resident participants and guests purchase tickets on enclosed Registration   Form)
7:00-8:00   Welcome Meeting for all participants and staff.
9:15 p.m.   Organized jam sessions in Norton Residence Hall
After:     Please enjoy informal jams as late as you like in Norton lobbies.
   
Typical Weekday Schedule:
7:00-8:15 a.m. Breakfast in Dodson Dining Hall
8:00-8:25 a.m. Dulcimer Marketplace (Tues. through Thurs., optional)
8:30-10:00 a.m. Dulcimer courses
10-10:25 a.m. Coffee Break
10:30-11:30 a.m. Dulcimer courses resume
11:30-1:00 p.m. Lunch in Dodson Dining Hall 
1:00-1:45 p.m. Mid-day organized jam sessions (optional)
1:00-1:45 p.m. Dulcimer Marketplace (Mon. through Thurs., optional)
2:00-4:00 p.m. Elective classes (optional)
4:30-5:15 p.m. Dulcimer Marketplace; time for informal class study groups to meet
5:30-6:30 p.m. Supper in Dodson Dining Hall
7:00 p.m. Concerts, Open Stage (new earlier time)
After: Organized jam sessions in residence hall lobbies, followed by informal jamming in late-night “playing” areas. (All jams optional)

Friday:  
8:30-9:15 a.m. Farewell Session, Meet new baby dulcimers, and Coffee Break
9:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. Dulcimer Courses
12:15-1:00 p.m. Final Dorm Check-out Time
 
If you are new to week-long events, remember it’s good to pace yourself as you enjoy everything. It’s smart to plan some time to practice and “digest” all you will learn and get enough rest. Jam sessions, the marketplace, concerts, the open stage and even electives can be optional.

Commuting Participants: For mid-day or early evening breaks you are welcome to relax in the comfortable “Living Space” lounges of Norton Residence Hall.
